In 2008, I tried online marketing and for years I was a bum
If you got wind of Global Domains International (GDI), then you get to understand that I am an old player in the game.
GDI was the fad then, when online marketing was producing its pioneering batch of millionaires.
For a time I got hooked with GDI and, years later, with other networking and multi-level marketing programs.
I enrolled in some coaching programs and bought softwares, how to PDFs, and bunches of subscriptions here and there. I would need at least five pages of single-spaced, 12-point font printout of all my purchases at JVZOO and Warrior+, not to mention Clickbank and other less known affiliate platforms.
I invested thousands and precious time for an online business that hardly produced any positive result. It embarasses me, but I have nothing to show after almost two decades of trying to put together a financially rewarding online venture.
Ironically, I turned things around when I lost my main source of livelihood
My main problem with my online business then was lack of focus. I was busy with other things.
I was a wage earner with a day job. I felt secure with a career that brought me to nice places. I worked for international organizations (Australian AID, United Nations Agencies, Asian Development Bank, etc.). Then, in a snap, in 2024, I found myself "unemployable."
After almost 40 years of working for other people, I scraped bottom. I did not save enough for retirement, either. The desolation did not end there. Both the failed business and drying-up of employment income tolled on the urge to dream for the future.
Yet, in a bit of irony, the losing streak pushed me back to the same pathway of rediscovering online marketing. Not giving myself an inch for another error, I geared myself up again for the grind that left me frustrated so many times in the past.
I picked up the lead that gave me the best potential then.
I tried and worked hard. It was by no means easy, but this time success was mine.
A 66-year-old struggling online marketer can make a five-figure monthly income with the right system and a positive approach to life and living.
In late 2025, I started to refocus on the one that I believed was truly working.
What followed was less talk on anything but the results.
By early 2026, as I turned 66, I was generating monthly revenues of as much as $5 million and a net income of $1 million. Not bad for one who, a year earlier, was flat out broke. From feeling like a total embarrassment, I now could feel the swagger back.
I feel good enough to share the pathway I took 12 months ago to anyone who might, beyond curiosity, be interested in taking risks, putting in the effort, and making good money.
